Exploring AI: Lyza’s Workshop with Science Centre Singapore

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the team from Science Centre Singapore at our Lyza Centre for a 2-day AI and Coding Workshop to share knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI) and how it can enhance their existing solutions with Kebbi, the AI concierge robot.

This workshop provided an opportunity for their team to dive deeper into how they can use the Lyza Platform to manage, monitor, and improve their AI systems independently.

Two-day Workshop

During the two days, eight staff members from various roles explored practical applications of AI.

Here’s what they worked on:

  1. Building a Machine Learning Model: Using Lyza CodeLab, participants trained a model to recognise origami, showcasing how AI can be applied to creative tasks.

  1. Programming Kebbi for Training: The team turned Kebbi into a training manager by using a quiz tool to support knowledge-sharing within their organisation.

  2. Adding a Generative AI Assistant: They integrated an AI assistant to handle visitor inquiries with interactive, up-to-date responses.

  1. Improving Kebbi’s Receptionist Skills: By combining predefined responses and smart actions, Kebbi became more intuitive and helpful in its role.

  2. Learning Prompt Engineering: Participants practised crafting effective prompts to get the most out of AI systems.

This workshop highlighted how AI can be a practical tool to solve real-world challenges. By focusing on hands-on learning, we helped the team gain confidence in using AI tools to enhance their daily operations.

We are excited about the possibilities this workshop has unlocked. It is inspiring to see organisations like Science Centre Singapore embrace AI and use it to innovate in ways that benefit both their team and their visitors.

A big thank you to the team for their enthusiasm and our trainers for making the workshop engaging and accessible. We look forward to more collaborations like this in the future!
