C204 - EdTech Quest 2026
Igniting young minds in the world of coding and technology, challenging students to apply their creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills.
EdTech Quest is a premium, invite-only coding competition hosted by Lyza Education for children aged 7 to 12. It’s designed to ignite young minds in the world of coding and technology by challenging them with a timed fundamentals quiz followed by a creative hackathon-style project, where finalists develop real-world solutions with coding languages such as Scratch, App Inventor, Python or CodeLab.

Training Focus

This June, give your child the chance to shine at EdTech Quest 2026. With multiple time-slots across the month, parents can easily find a date that fits your family calendar. Whether you’re booking around holiday plans or during a quieter week, we have created flexible registration windows so your child can confidently take part - without the stress of conflicting schedules.
Real-World Skill Building Through Competition
More than just a contest, EdTech Quest offers hands-on challenges and project-based learning that mirrors real game-development workflows, fostering creativity, and problem-solving.
Holistic STEM & DSA Portfolio Development
At Lyza, competition training is integrated into a broader STEM and DSA (Direct School Admission) strategy. We don’t just prepare kids for one contest, we build a lasting portfolio of coding, AI, and STEM achievements tracked on Lyza’s digital platform. This empowers students to stand out in school admission processes and long-term academic journeys.
Competition Format
This competition is an invite-only and open to our past and current students who have demonstrated a strong interest in coding. We are thrilled to create a focused environment for students to shine and showcase their talents!
In this year's edition, we are splitting it into two categories:
-
Premier: Our seasoned students! Students that have been shortlisted by us on competitions from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026
-
Challengers: Students that have displayed strong ability in coding and are new to EdTech Quest. Great to dip your toes to know more about how your child has been faring while learning about coding!
* Do note that the competition is on an invite-only basis. Students that have been shortlisted for the competition will be contacted separately.

No, training is not provided, as students who have completed the Lyza Young Coders program will already have the foundational skills needed for the Lyza Summer EdTech Quest. Our curriculum equips them with the coding knowledge and problem-solving skills essential for this competition.
During the event, our teachers will be present as invigilators to support students if they encounter technical difficulties with the coding challenges. However, they will not provide answers, as the goal is to encourage independent problem-solving and critical thinking among participants. This approach ensures students have a fair chance to demonstrate their coding abilities.
No worries! At Lyza Education, we do have records of our students kept internally.
Rest assured however, that the registration time-slots is not split by the category, so you can register accordingly and we would sort your child to the correct category afterwards, all powered by our CodeArena platform.
However, we do understand that parents may be curious to know how their child is faring! If you would still like to know more, feel free to contact us at 9358 6695 for any questions you may have.
Participating in the Edtech Quest can greatly enhance your child’s DSA profile.
Here’s how:
-
Skill Development: The competition emphasises real-world coding skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving - qualities highly valued in DSA. Through hands-on challenges in CodeLab, Scratch, Python, and App Inventor, students demonstrate independence and creativity.
-
ACES Framework Evaluation: We assess participants through our ACES framework (Application, Critical Thinking, Engagement, Skills Transfer), highlighting strengths and growth areas that align with DSA requirements, showcasing adaptability, enthusiasm, and technical proficiency.
-
Certificates & Awards: Certificates and awards provide official recognition, ideal for inclusion in DSA portfolios, underscoring your child’s commitment to coding and STEM excellence.
-
Confidence & Experience: Competing builds confidence, and problem-solving skills under timed challenges - valuable qualities for a strong DSA application and future academic success.
Through this competition, students gain skills and achievements that distinguish them as passionate, capable, and well-rounded DSA candidates.
-
