We are thrilled with the incredible momentum we've had so far this year, culminating in the successful second edition of our EdTech Quest! Designed for brilliant young minds aged 7 to 12, this competition challenges students to dive headfirst into the world of coding and technology.

This year, participants tackled a timed fundamentals quiz covering CodeLab and Scratch, followed by a thrilling, hackathon-style creative project centered around our 2026 theme: "Game Development Innovators".

Spotlight Feature: The Launch of "QuestionSet"

This edition also marked the exciting debut of our new QuestionSet feature. Following successful pilot runs with our students in the Technovation Girls and IDE Code Series, students can now submit their projects weekly directly to our platform.

  • How it works: The platform acts as a secure repository, giving teachers a real-time copy of each student's weekly progress.

  • The benefit: This paving the way for us to easily generate comprehensive digital portfolios for our students down the road.

We are happy to report that the rollout was incredibly smooth, with students adopting the feature with ease. Because of this success, QuestionSet is officially live for competitions and is slated for broader integration across our programs in the coming months!

Why Competitions Matter

Kyler and Ashlyn have since grown to not just compete in internal competitions, but also nation and even international competitions!
Kyler and Ashlyn have since grown to not just compete in internal competitions, but also nation and even international competitions!

Some parents might wonder: If EdTech Quest is an internal competition, why should my child participate? We highly encourage students to first try out low-stakes, internal competitions because they remove the intense pressure of wider public events. A 7-year-old may not be fully ready for the rigors of a massive external competition.

Internal events provide a safe, supportive environment to build core skills and increases their confidence before they step onto a bigger stage. In fact, we’ve already seen students like Kyler and Ashlyn thrive and grow tremendously using this exact stepping stone!

What’s Brewing for Next Year?

We are already looking ahead and preparing for next year's lineup! Right now, we are in the midst of rebranding our popular Lyza Scratch Challenge (LSC).

We have heard from parents whose children have grown alongside us and are looking for advanced options. We are actively working on expanding these opportunities for older students, so stay tuned for exciting updates coming this August!
