At Lyza Education, we believe every child’s coding journey may be challenging, supportive, and full of real‑world opportunities. Over the past few weeks, we have seen an inspiring surge of dedication from our young learners, and find this experience something noteworthy to share.

Students Already on Track for IDE Code Series 2026

Across our Bukit Timah, Orchard, Tampines physical campuses and our online learning hub, more than 10 students have been consistently tackling weekly challenges on our proprietary QuestionSet platform. Designed by Lyza’s curriculum team, these challenges mirror the style and difficulty of the upcoming IDE Code Series 2026.

What makes these students stand out? They were meticulously shortlisted by our teachers based on ACES evaluations, a holistic assessment of aptitude, creativity, effort, and problem‑solving. Every one of them has completed at least two of Lyza’s beginner‑friendly courses, building a strong foundation before moving into competitive preparation.

"I find it good that my child gets to practice for the competition even at home. I find it very impressive that he even takes the initiative to practice!“

~ Parent from Orchard

From Competitions to DSA: Coding as a Talent Portfolio

Coding does open doors to other areas!

Some of our students are not just keen on coding, they want to use their skills to open doors. We are proud that several Lyza learners are keen to prepare their portfolios for the Direct School Admission (DSA) programme, showcasing their coding talent alongside academic achievements.

DSA‑Secondary pathways increasingly recognise computational thinking and software development as valued talents. By excelling in structured competitions like the IDE Code Series, students gain a credible track record that stands out to admission committees.

If your child dreams of entering a top school through coding, Lyza’s competition track is a great launchpad.

New to Competitions? Start Here: EdTech Quest (Ages 7+)

We hear you: “My child only joined Lyza this year, are competitions too advanced?”

Not at all. That’s why we recently introduced EdTech Quest, a fun, inclusive coding competition designed for absolute beginners and young makers aged 7 and above.

Why EdTech Quest is perfect for first‑timers:

  • No prior competition experience required

  • Open to all eligible Lyza students (and newcomers!) in Orchard!

EdTech Quest runs every June, making it a low‑pressure way to build confidence before moving on to more advanced series like IDE Code Series.
