Hi I am Lizhang, the founder of Lyza Education and a software engineer with years of experience at Meta and Amazon. I began learning to code in my 20s while studying at Imperial College London (ICL), and although I had a passion for it, the process felt long and tedious. Now, I can’t help but think: How much earlier would I have fallen in love with coding if I had started younger? That question drives my mission to make engaging, hands-on STEM learning easy and fun for kids.
That’s why I founded Lyza Education to transform the way kids learn STEM through coding and storytelling. At Lyza:
For our young learners, we empower them to tell stories through code, designing characters and plotlines using Scratch Jr.

Immersive Experiences: Holiday Programmes & Workshops
As parents, we often face the same annual questions: Where should my child learn this year? Whether it's reinforcing academic skills or exploring new interests, finding the right program is crucial. At Lyza Education, we offer a diverse range of over 30 engaging coding courses, ensuring there's something to captivate every child's curiosity.
For families residing near the Orchard area, our flagship campus provides a convenient and accessible location. Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to offer the best learning environment, combining comfort with cutting-edge technology.
Our weekly classes are thoughtfully structured to provide ample time for students to absorb and apply new concepts. Each session is designed to be interactive and hands-on, allowing children to experiment and learn. Many of the platforms that students code on are also available online, enabling students to continue their learning journey from the comfort of home, anytime and anywhere, provided they have a compatible device.
We believe in keeping parents informed about their child's learning journey. That's why we provide comprehensive learning booklets that detail the concepts covered in each class. Parents appreciate this transparency, as it allows them to track their child's progress and engage in meaningful discussions about their learning experiences.
In addition, we believe in keeping parents closely connected to their child's learning journey. Our Lyza platform offers regular class summaries, allowing parents to track their child's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. After each session, we provide personalised reports, giving insights into the skills developed and the next steps in their learning path. To celebrate milestones, students receive e-certificates, acknowledging their achievements and boosting their confidence in coding and AI.
Understanding that not all families are located near Orchard, we have established satellite centres in various parts of Singapore, including Tampines, Bukit Timah, and Punggol. Additionally, our online classes ensure that quality education is accessible to all, regardless of location.
During the Ministry of Education (MOE) holiday season, we offer 2 to 3-day holiday camps designed to provide a focused and enriching learning experience. These camps allow children to delve deeper into coding and AI concepts while parents enjoy some well-deserved time off. It is a win-win situation that combines learning with fun.
